It was back to the south ride today out to Mismaloya and back - 30k and 300m ofclimbing according to Panko's fancy GPS bike computer. So like getting to the top of the Malahat but better weather.
Followed by a swim and a jalapeno-filled cheeseburger.
One more day before the group heads out down the coast and most have now arrived, including the tour leaders. A mixed bunch, cycling-wise (road bikes, mountain bikes, keeners and not so much), most veterans of Gabriola Cycle trips, all Canadian, mostly BCers. A couple of us went out for tacos at a nearby street stand, a change from tourist restaurants. They were good, hopefully not too through the roof on the bacteria count!
